Bob - I agree that "The End is Near!" - the way you have presented it.
I also believe "The Beginning is Near!" - if we can finally bring an end to the inevitable corruption that concentrated "money power" brings to almost all of our public and civic institutions!
I believe former New York Times Washington (DC) Bureau Chief, Hedrick (Rick) Smith got it right when he wrote "Who Stole the American Dream?" (2012). We need to follow the example set by the current generation of college students - and allow "people power" to put an end to "money power"!
We can salvage humanity, but we need to act decisively and quickly. I am always hopeful. Will we be willing to find solutions that are necessary but probably not profitable in the economic sense.
