Writing Pause-New Book

Dear friends and readers,

You may have noticed it’s been a little quieter than usual here on Perspectives – Bob Passi. I wanted to take a moment to explain why—and to share some exciting news.

Over the past several months, I’ve been immersed in the final stages of a major writing project: the updated and expanded 2025 edition of my book, Saving Democracy: From the Warnings of 2016 to the Urgency of 2025.

This has been a labor of both love and urgency. The original version, written in the wake of the 2016 election, was my attempt to make sense of what that moment meant for America—and what it warned us about. But so much has happened since then. The stakes have only grown. The new edition reflects not just what we’ve lived through, but what we must confront now if we are to preserve and renew our democracy.

I’ve spent the better part of this year refining, expanding, and updating the book to meet this moment. That’s why I’ve been posting less frequently here. But the silence has not meant inactivity—it’s meant deep work, and now I’m ready to begin sharing that work with you.

The new edition will be officially released in the next couple of weeks. I’ll be posting more soon with launch details, previews, and ways you can help spread the word if the message resonates with you.

In the meantime, thank you for your patience and continued interest in this shared project of understanding—and hopefully saving—our democracy.
