(In growing frustration with the actions imposed by Israel under Netanyahu on the Middle East and the world, and the complicity of our national leaders in supporting and encouraging those actions, I have turned to satire to address the current situation. This satire being in a form reminiscent of Jonathan Swift’s “A Modest Proposal” as his satirical solution for England to the “Irish Problem”.)
§ Smite all dissenters.
§ Slay the anti-semites; let the great purge commence in earnest.
§ Smite those who dare defy the ordained new world order.
§ Slay the heretics who question the divinity of Netanyahu, Israel’s righteous avenger.
§ Smite even the hesitant among the chosen, for lukewarm allegiance is betrayal of the cause and this Old Testament vengeance.
§ Slay the audacious semites who dare assert a claim to existence—Palestinians most of all.
§ Smite all who would oppose this version of religion, especially if they are of another faith.
§ Slay all the New Testament Christians who believe in the teachings of their non-vengeful Jesus.
§ Smite all who believe in the sanctity of human life.
§ Slay the dreamers who cling to the crumbling relics of democracy, with its naive delusions of equality and human worth.
§ Smite those who hesitate to applaud the United States’ unflinching complicity in the death of so many as well as in obliterating dissent, using ‘anti-semite’ to mean anyone insufficiently enthusiastic about Netanyahu’s gospel.
§ Slay all who would oppose remaking our world according to the dictates of the modern Israel as proposed by Netanyahu.
§ This holiday season, relish the ‘slayride’ as we glide merrily toward the triumph of the new order.
§ Finally, smite the hopeless romantics who cling to antique notions of ‘peace on earth’ or whispers of goodwill—they have no place in this season’s reckoning.
