April is a month of transition.
This is the beginning of April, with another snow.
And birds-old and new,
Still some juncos, but also jays, a variety of woodpecker, nuthatches, finches and the ubiquitous chickadees.
To that we have added some eagles and robins
And turkeys, boy, do we have turkeys, flocks of them.
And some days 10 Toms in our yard; Mating time.
And a variety of waterfowl, geese, swans,
And ducks.
There are, as always, squirrels, including brown squirrels again, chipmunks, and even a rabbit.
It has been a slow spring.
But the river is finally free of ice.
And then there is rain, finally.
And spring has come, with new growth.
Plants coming up.
The forsythia, weakly blooming.
And an April moon.
Lovely. Hope still springs forth. Renewal and rebirth. These things are sacred.
Thanks Bee Anne.
