Another strange month, unseasonably warm and then cool and rainy. And finally, at the end of the month the Mississippi runs very high from the torrential rains in northern Minnesota.
But the yard and flowers are loving it.
Iris
Peonies
Marigolds
Lilies
And blooming shrubs
It is also time for mowing, trimming and weeding.
It is a time for young life: turkeys, deer, geese all of which parade across our yard with their young, even a very young faun.
Besides the birds, and occasionally an eagle, and the usual animals (squirrels, chipmunks, and rabbits) we also had a new visitor.
And some time on the deck, high enough to almost be a treehouse.
And, as always, there is the river…
and the moon.
Even though the rest of the world may seem to be unraveling, there is some refuge to be found in the stability of nature, and always, the river.

Love Nature wherever it is. Always appreciate your comments.
You captured it again Bob.
Nothing beats the wonder of Nature and no one source does it as beautiful as the River. Except for possibly Gull Lake.
But my bias is showing ❤️
