My Life on the Mississippi

May 2025

May, in Minnesota is one of those months in which spring may suddenly appear and turn into summer by the end of the month. That is what happened this year.

It begins with the river, as always

It moves through early blossoms like the rhododendron

Dogwood

Pansies

Early Iris

Bleeding heart

A blooming tree by our house

And it moves on to the apple trees, looks like a good harvest this year.

And then the Lilacs

And the columbine

And the birds, now including robins, orioles, grosbeaks, doves, crows and many others not to mention the ubiquitous turkeys.

And, of course the chipmunks and a variety of squirrels,

It includes misty mornings

Interesting sunrises

And the beautiful river.

And one other addition…I have been busy finishing my book, Saving Democracy, soon to be available on Amazon by Mid-June.
